DESIGN YOUR PERFECT GATHERING PLACE
How Will a New Kitchen Change Your Day-to-Day?
The kitchen is the heart of your home. A place where nourishment begins and memories unfold. It's where messy countertops capture your children's laughter, morning coffee brings peace, and evening cocktails draw everyone together. Your kitchen should embrace your lifestyle (and bonus points if it is also beautiful).
With 20 years in the business, we've dedicated ourselves to refining our process and client experience—learning from client feedback and our own missteps along the way. We're proud to offer a process that, while always evolving, is designed to make remodeling as seamless and stress-free as possible. From our first consultation, we dive into the ‘why’ behind your remodel, offering practical guidance on how to make the most of your investment (because in San Francisco, it ain’t cheap!). Let’s collaborate on creating a space and experience that resonates with you.
“The remodel was a good experience; and most importantly, we love our new kitchen. If I ever convince my husband that the bathroom is next, 415 will be my first call.”
If your kitchen wishlist includes smart storage solutions for urban living, the latest in kitchen tech, materials that stand up to a bustling household (or the San Francisco climate), or creative designs for compact spaces, we’ve got the expertise to make it happen. Whether you're dreaming of a stylish refresh, or spatial optimization for family gatherings, we’d love to be your trusted design and build team.

Remodel costs can vary significantly depending on the scope, the condition of your home, and your material choices. Since market values fluctuate, it’s tough to give an exact number without first understanding your wants/needs and conducting a feasibility study, assessing what’s behind your walls. However, opting for a design-build approach helps you better control your budget.
Unlike traditional remodeling, where you might spend $40,000+ on architectural plans before even bidding out the project to contractors, our design and project development phase covers all the conceptual, schematic, and design work, poising your project for the build. Plus, our designers are consulting with our expert builders through the entire phase to ensure that the plans are buildable, and that you get exactly what you want. This work that occurs over about 3 months is covered by a flat fee retainer upfront.
Once we’ve developed a close, realistic budget at the end of the phase, you still have the option to decide whether you want to proceed with the build based on the presented budget.

Kitchen and bathroom remodels in San Francisco are heavily influenced by market trends and the unique challenges of working in older homes. While it’s difficult to pin down a realistic cost before a feasibility study and understanding your vision, we can tell you that a quality kitchen remodel in the city rarely start below $120,000 (for the ENTIRE project, design, permitting, materials and products, and labor) and go up from there. To get a realistic idea of your potential costs, we always recommend an initial in-home consultation with us to discuss the specific needs of your home!
“This was our first remodel, and we had no idea what to expect.”
“Our existing kitchen footprint was incredibly awkward, and we were on a tight budget. It was a long process, but communication throughout design was great, and we eventually settled on a design that provided much more functionality but resulted in an expanded budget. If we were going to do it, we decided we might as well do it as best we could! Bill and Rebecca were both patient and determined throughout this process.
After the initial design was agreed upon, we began working with Hayley, who helped us decide on all of the details, from flooring, to wall color, to sink type, to lighting. This is a slightly terrifying process, but Hayley was easy to work with and provided guidance throughout.
This was our first remodel, and we had no idea what to expect. Our project manager, Joro, and our foreman, Emsad, were very responsive to e-mails during this time to help us understand the process and what was occurring. Hayley remained our main point of contact throughout, and Bill was always available to jump in and follow-up on issues as needed.
Overall, the remodel was a good experience; and most importantly, we love our new kitchen. If I ever convince my husband that the bathroom is next, 415 will be my first call.”
