We opened up the space between the kitchen and dining room, reconfigured appliances to achieve a functional work triangle, and added more storage. New oak flooring was installed to match the existing, and a succulent wall was added outside the kitchen window for a touch of greenery. The downstairs ADU unit was fully built out, creating a living room, kitchen, storage, and a bedroom with backyard access.
