“San Francisco Summer; Seasonal Intentions and Embracing the Shift”

Hayley from 415 Remodeling here,

How’s the start of our ‘San Francisco Summer’ treating you? Out here in the Sunset District, I’m personally looking forward to fewer visits from Karl, gentler swells, and a cheeky beach bonfire or two. There’s a different feeling in the air this time of year! Here are a few other things on my “Seasonal Vision” list:

  • Finally get my Matilija poppies to grow—revamping my courtyard has been a years-long labor of love.

  • Add to my photography portfolio. Just got back from Catalina, and I’m feeling the creative spark again!

  • Watch this two-year Bernal Heights project we've been pouring our hearts into finally come to life. I can’t wait to share more soon!

  • Maybe score an autograph from Hermanos Gutierrez at their upcoming show? (If you haven't checked them out yet, you need to add them to your playlist!)

You know us San Franciscans will never get tired of talking about the microclimates in our 7-square-mile city, but the unpredictability of this weather is REAL. Shedding layers in the sun by mid-morning, then by afternoon pulling on a sturdy pair of Blundstones when those onshore winds kick in—it’s something we prepare our wardrobes for. Our bodies even adapt. But what intention do we put into preparing our homes for these shifts?
