Bill grew up in Boulder, Colorado, where the mountains influenced not just the landscape but also his appreciation for nature and thoughtful design. Initially on a pre-med path, Bill quickly realized that the sterile confines of hospitals couldn’t compare to the rugged rocks he loved. After a year in Massachusetts, homesickness drew him back to Boulder, where he graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in conservation and environmental studies. It was during his time appraising homes—a gig introduced to him by his mother—that Bill discovered his passion for architecture and the spaces people call home.

In 1994, Bill moved to San Francisco, diving into the tech boom. But when the bubble burst in 2000, he sought something more tangible, turning his focus to the construction industry. He learned the ropes in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, eventually teaming up with Aaron Gordon of Aaron Gordon Construction.

By 2014, Bill co-founded 415 Remodeling, a full-service design and build firm that quickly became a successful wing of Aaron Gordon Construction. Drawing on his early experiences with mid century modern homes in Boulder, Bill is dedicated to preserving the original intent of San Francisco’s historic homes while adapting them to modern living. “I’ll help you get what you want, AND I won’t let you do anything to your house that I wouldn’t,” he assures his clients, a promise backed by over 20 years of experience in the industry.

Today, Bill and his wife, Renee, live in the Sunset District with their dog, Lokai. When he’s not helping clients create their dream spaces, you might find him reconnecting with the rugged landscapes of Colorado. Looking ahead, Bill is eager to continue crafting a quiet yet impactful legacy in San Francisco. Over the past decade, he has built a strong company alongside Hayley Alexander, with deep respect for her leadership. Bill is deeply committed to the success of his employees and values every voice at the table.
